CDI Components – CDI Hub: This is where the CDI data is held. The CDI Hub stores key business data collated from across the source systems. In addition, the Hub holds any ID’s that relate to the data from the source systems.

Where more than one source system holds the same piece of data (such as customers), then the Hub holds all external ID’s relating to the data. The data held within the Hub is referred to as the ‘Golden Record’. The ‘Golden Record’ is the single, authoritative record about a customer and their dealings with you.

The CDI Hub can ultimately be used for providing centralised reporting. Alternatively this can feed a Data Warehouse.

The Hub is typically built upon database technologies (such as MS SQL Server).
