CDI Components Overview: The CDI will sit at the heart of all your systems and will comprise of the following elements:
  • Data Sources: Any system that generates or requires information. This can include both the internal and external systems, and other sources of information (such as spreadsheets);
  • CDI Hub: Storage of the information passed to the CDI.
  • Integration Services: Published interfaces, which allow data sources to automatically push or pull information within the CDI;
  • Business Rules: Processing, recognising and reconciling data passed to the CDI and for managing the distribution of the data to other systems;
  • Master Data Management (MDM): Validation, cleansing, de-duplication, merging and transformation of data passed to the CDI;
  • CDI Administration Tools: This includes golden record management, resolving data issues (identified by MDM) and interface failures.
