What I Want Is a Dashboard That Shows Me...: We frequently hear these words at the start of a project. Providing the correct people with the correct information is critical to the success of CRM. Giving people graphical and straightforward access to this information provides a number of benefits – problems can be quickly highlighted, trends spotted, KPI’s monitored, SLA’s tracked and workloads managed.

We’ve always found that understanding these reporting aspirations helps in the process of shaping a CRM solution. Ultimately companies implement CRM to improve an organisation – making it more efficient, preventing problems, tracking compliance or getting closer their Customers. It’s all very well putting in a system to manage the processes surrounding these goals, but without accurate and timely reporting it’s impossible to assess successes, failures, or to identify where further improvements can be made.

A key part of our agile approach is defining success criteria. This step frequently highlights key dashboard requirements. As always we interactively create any of these with our Customers.

Working The Way You Want: At SAM7 we have worked with a number of reporting technologies such as Cognos, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and Crystal Reports. This means that we can use the technology that best suits you.

Empowered Reporting: Microsoft Dynamics CRM provides some excellent tools for building reports both in the application and within Excel. A number of our Customers now use these tools exclusively – allowing them to truly own these reports.
